Surah 6 Verse 154
The Torah too went into great detail, like the Quran, explaining everything people needed to know to lead their life.
It is interesting how this is actually the Old Testament (although not in original form) and part of the Bible. Yet the Christians and Jews behave very differently in their religion.
Surah 6 Verse 155, 156, 157
The Quran too is a blessed book. It is revealed in their language so no one can say that they could not understand the previous books. Or no one can say that if only the book was revealed to them, so that they too could follow. The Quran has come to them, a guide and mercy.

Allah also talk of speaking justly even if near relative is concerned. This means to say the truth even if one is talking about near relative. There is no room for nepotism.
There is no room for blind allegiance to family even if they are committing sin. There is no place for the 'blood is thicker than water' attitude. Truth, honesty and justice in all situations. It is important to maintain family ties (click here for more details) but also just as important to speak the truth not matter who is concerned.
