It is really sad how people mix politics and aid when it suits them.
I will be cutting down my viewing of BBC as a result of this.

Tabbatt - Abu Lahab

When Rasullullah(sallallahu alaihe wassallam) gathered the people of Makkah to announce the message, he said something like 'If I were to tell you there was an enemy behind the hill, would you believe me?'
Everyone responded by saying yes, saying he was the trustworthy one.
But when he then gave the message, Abu Lahab used the term 'Tabbatt' to make fun of him, 'Did you gather us here for this?'
So Allah revealed Surah Lahab in response to him, and it also started with the same phrase.

No alcohol urged for children

It reminds me of this hadith (near meaning):

The Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wassallam) said: “The nations will soon crowd against you like gluttons crowd around their dish” One asked: “Is it because we will be few in number at that time?”
The Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wassallam) replied: “No, at that time you will be many, but you will be (like) froth as the froth of the sea, and Allah will remove the awe of you from the hearts of your enemies and throw wahn into your hearts”
Someone asked: “What is wahn, O Messenger of Allah?”
The Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wassallam) replied: “The love of this life and the hatred of death.”

But does it mean we do nothing ?....definitely not...write to MPs...influence the policy of our government.... we pay taxes like everyone else... we have a right to demand our money is used in the correct way
